According to statistics, more than sixty five percent of fires occur because of thermal manifestations of electric current i.e. electrical short circuits.

Pyrosticker has to be installed or fixed in any electrical panel box, switch box or distribution board. Once installed, pyrosticker can remain in standby mode for 5 years from date of installation. In case of a fire caused by short circuit inside the panel box or switchboard, pyrosticker can extinguish the fire within the box itself and not allow it to spread to other areas outside the box.
Pyrosticker is available in various sizes i.e. AST-P, AST-15, AST-25, AST-45 and AST 60. AST-P is a small sticker to be fixed inside the switch boards. The other variants are to be fixed inside panel boards and distribution boxes based on the liter capacity volume of the panel or box. AST-15 is for a box upto 15 liter capacity and so on.
The electrical panel boxes and distribution boards, server racks and other electrical installation are of different sizes, so pyrosticker is of different sizes to support protection for different sizes of installations.
Calculate the multiplication of height, width and depth of any electrical panel box in centimeters and then divide by 1000. This should give you the liter capacity of the box. For example, if the box has height of 50 cms, width of 20 cms and depth of 10 cms then the calculation is as follows :
50 cms X 20 cms X 10 cms = 10000cms / 1000 = 10 liters
So in this case AST-15 should be installed in the box
Pyrosticker should be installed on the top side of the box as the fire always grows upwards and for optimum results, the fire has to touch the sticker for it to work. In cases where there is no space to fix the sticker on the top portion, pyrocord can be used to run across the box and protect the box.
Pyrocord is also used for larger boxes which are above 60 liter capacity, running cable ducts, server racks and instrumentation panels etc where a sticker cannot be fixed.
The effectiveness of the product is till 5 years from date of installation.
It has to be used like normal sticker where you remove the sticker tape from the back side of the sticker and stick it in the top part of the electrical box or area of installation. The RED portion of the sticker has to face downwards within the box. Any experienced electrician can also install Pyrosticker.
During installation, ensure the electrical box, panel, switch board is disconnected from live power and its switches are in OFF position.
In case of a short circuit and fire inside the box where Pyrosticker is installed, the pyrosticker would have been used to extinguish the fire. You need to replace the used pyrosticker with a new one. Also replace pyrosticker after 5 years of initial installation.
Pyrosticker has a manufacturers warranty of 5 years from the date of installation with certain terms and conditions applicable.
Ensure the electrical connections are switched off before installation. The box is not open to air but has an enclosed environment. The installation area is not wet or humid. It should be dry and clean before installation. In case there is water seepage in or around the box, get the seepage repaired before installation.
